BIOGRAPHY

Esteban Benavides is a Colombian musician and sound engineer passionate about arts and technology. He is interested in how these can be combined for storytelling to transmit a message to its audience.

Esteban graduated with honors as a musician, emphasizing Audio Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He then obtained his Master of Arts in Sound Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the United States.

​

Music and sound by Esteban have sounded on broadcast television, radio, and digital media. In addition, his musical productions have been heard on high-rating TV shows with over 5 million daily views in Colombia.

​

He has worked mainly as a composer and sound designer for advertisements of different renowned brands in Colombia, such as Grupo Exito, Caracol Television, RCN, Davivienda, Servientrega, and many more, as well as international clients, which include Netflix, Cox, and Kimberly Clark. In addition, he has also worked in the audio for different campaigns for recognized agencies like Sancho BBDO, Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson, and Wunderman Thompson.

Esteban has produced, recorded, and mixed music from various styles, including pop, rock, reggaeton, salsa, and orchestral. He has also worked as a sound designer for animated videos and award-winning short films.

When he is not working, he enjoys riding his bicycle and watching soccer games.
